I installed a new arch box, ftp mode. I changed grub and fstab to use udev-syntax (/dev/sda1 etc) grub to boot without devfs(=nomount). Booting up I noticed the system booted up until a note that told me virtual consoles could not be initialized, and then the machine rebooted again. I had to boot into devfs. I was surprised devfs could handle the udev syntax ... ?
I had to run migrate-udev then to solve the problem.
