Did you upgrade the kernel only? Run 'pacman -Syu'.
Post the versions of gnutls and cups you're using.

This has nothing to do with your kernel upgrade. Read your own paste carefully .

Ive been linked to this thread from a response to my own thread which concerns the same error message:

epdfview: error while loading shared libraries: libgnutls.so.26: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I never tried to print- my issue is/was with epdfview.. You might keep an eye on my thread and ill do the same.

Btw, the solution (at least temporarily for me) was to downgrade gnutls to version 2.8.6-1.

So, jump on the ARM (Arch Rollback Machine), grab the gnutls-2.8.6-1.pkg.tar.xz package, and install it using:

pacman -U gnutls-2.8.6-1.pkg.tar.xz

You might also want to throw gnutls in your IgnorePkg line in /etc/pacman.conf at least until this gets sorted..

In my above thread, I followed Allan's advice even to the point of upgrading libcups (which I was unaware had anything to do with epdfview) and magically, epdfview's error message above went away, despite there being no libgnutls.so.26 in /usr/lib. However, I now have the exact same problem when trying to start cups:

[poeticrpm@geekdom ~]$ sudo rc.d restart cups
:: Stopping cupsd daemon                                                 [FAIL] 
:: Starting cupsd daemon                                                 [BUSY] cupsd: error while loading shared libraries: libgnutls.so.26: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I dont know what else to do but downgrade gnutls and add it to IgnorePkg for now. This seems to me like a packaging bug as my system is fully up-to-date with the exception of conky, thunderbird, and wine (all of which have nothing to do with this problem), but then I have no idea how updating libcups fixed epdfview either- I could be wrong. Any ideas?

Update cups (and libcups) to the current version (1.4.8-2) and you will be fine...

I had to run cups-usblp from the AUR in order for my printer to be detected. This is an upstream issue and not an Arch bug where my printer is one of an unfortunate few that cannot be recognized via USB. Indeed updating cups to 1.4.8 allows the daemon to start, but my printer is no longer detected by cups. Hopefully changes will come down the line for my printer in this regard- this is why I had libcups and cups-usblp in my IgnorePkg line: I didnt want to break my printing as I use it frequently.

In regards to the OP, a complete update of cups and libcups will fix the issue you are having.
