Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 has very unreliable connection

I have been having problems connecting to wireless networks since I have gotten to college. Whenever I'm on a wireless network, the connection is always slow and very unreliable. I'm using NetworkManager right now, but netcfg had the same issues.

Here is the sort of error message I have been getting:

Aug 24 08:39:45 localhost kernel: [ 4307.483029] iwlagn 0000:03:00.0: Aggregation not enabled for tid 0 because load = 0

Aug 24 08:42:10 localhost kernel: [ 4452.031324] iwlagn 0000:03:00.0: iwlagn_tx_agg_start on ra = 00:0b:0e:c4:4d:44 tid = 0

And various similar error messages. Has anyone seen this, and is there a known fix? My wireless works OK on Windows, but the only reason I ever use Windows is for wasting time playing video games, which is suboptimal for studying. So I would like to be able to access the wireless networks in Linux reliably.

I can usually connect eventually by repeatedly disconnecting and connecting, but the connection usually doesn't last long enough to finish a -Syu.
