OSS Volume display in conky.

so i decided to switch to oss because im annoyed with alsa, so far everything is working great the only issue is that i cant make conky display the sound volume the man page only lists $mixer and i tried all kinds of values with that no luck, nothing from google either seems like no one uses conky with oss ? o.O
