Can't save any of my configurations in xfce4.

I can't save any changes to xfce's windows managers .config/nautilus file as when I re-log it will just go back to the default settings.

I get this error message everytime I reload.

"Nautilus could not create the required foler "/home/dalesalter/.config/nautilus".
Before running Nautilus, please create the following foler, or set permissions such that Nautilus can create it."

I'm not entirely sure how to 'set permissions' but I've checked and there isn't a nautilus file in my .conf directory.

I've also checked online and there only seemes to be outdated results.

Re: Can't save any of my configurations in xfce4.

Never mind, edited the Chmod commands on the file and everything worked out.
I think it might have been because I installed xfce4 as a root and the owner on the configuration folder was a root.
