48khz audio stutters.

I usually use DeadBeef with the Secretrabbit plugin to play my music, however I noticed that any audio files which are 48khz tends to stutter and deadbeef uses all of my CPU. I'm using an AMD AthlonXP 2800+ at the moment with an onboard Realtek ALC650 (nvidia nforce2) sound.

Is it just lack of processing power? Or might I have configured something incorrectly? I have no idea what I am doing ahaha.

Re: 48khz audio stutters.

Run it, then see how ALSA's been opened:

cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params

You could try my config (link in my sig). Try changing buffer_size, then restarting deadbeef.
