Gnome

I installed Gnome, and now it removed my audio driver. It's weird, my Pidgin sounds work, but Amarok, vlc, and Rhtyhmbox do not play sounds, I checked the Multimedia under system settings, it shows PulseAudio as the sound driver, and under the sound card thing, it shows nothing, this is very weird, I have been using KDE, but all it's been doing is crashing on me, I go to add another panel, it crashes, I didn't submit a ticket, because there's a similar one, only reason why I haven't tried, is because I've tried to send a few bug reports to KDE Developers, and the bug exists in bugs.kde.org.  I have oss installed, I think that's the only reason why pidgin sounds are, due to command -> ossplay %s. Thanks for your time(s), smile.

Re: Gnome

Gnome 3 requires Pulseaudio as a dependency, which is not compatible to OSS4. You´ll have to convert to ALSA if you want to use Pulseaudio.

Yeah, thanks, installed alsa, and honestly hate Alsa, it doesn't want to mix channels..  Not sure what's going on there, but sounds are working now, except for in Wine.

1. Please use a better and more descriptive topic title.
2. Pulseaudio does mixing as well. Read the wiki. Actually, even stock Alsa does mixing nowadays, but if you're using gnome 3 you have no easy choice but to use pulseaudio.
