I've got a BCM4322 wifi card (according to lspci) and I'm using the b43-firmware from AUR.
It seems like the b43 driver doesn't support power management; iwconfig says:
Power Management:off
and if I try to use
iwconfig wlan0 power on
I get:
Error for wireless request "Set Power Management" (8B2C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
Is there any other way to reduce power consumption of this card or enable power management?
Thanks in advance.

have you tried:
sudo iwconfig wlan0 power on
?
I got your error,
Error for wireless request "Set Power Management" (8B2C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
when I tried the above command without sudo.

Thanks for your response msb!
EDIT: Noticing my card being supported by it, I switched to broadcom-wl driver now and don't get any drop-outs anymore as well as having power management supported.
Solved.
