h264enc now crashes with x264 segmentation fault

I've been using h264enc for a few years now to covert my DVDs and such. Recently it has just started to crap out when I try to do a new conversion. I tried a search here on the forums and google but I've come up empty. Any ideas?

Re: h264enc now crashes with x264 segmentation fault

Do you use the mencoder package from the repos? I don't get such a segfault. But there were times when this happened to me as well. I then didn't investigate any further, but switched to handbrake for a few weeks.

Yes Army I've always used the packages from the repo. I'm using handbrake in the meantime as well and I'll probably have to continue until I can figure this out.
