Enlightenment Engage

Hi All,

Has anyone got the Engage dockbar working?  I tried downloading it from rensel's repository at:
ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/tur/rensel
but all I get is a black rectangle at the bottom of my screen and heaps of erros on the terminal.

I know the software's still in alpha stage, but I wanna know if anyone's get it working or know where else I can download the packages?  I'm really not in the mood to compile e17 fro scratch (*shudders* all those dependencies, imlib2, ecore, e-this, e-that...).

Alternatively, does anyone know of any other docker bar that works just like the Mac OS one?  The main features I want are:
- autohide
- auto-popup when you hover the mouse to the bottom of the screen even when there's another window maximised in the foreground
- zooming

Don't think that has the auto-popup feature.

Re: Enlightenment Engage

in order to use engage you must probably have eapp's (get-e.org)

then you should edit the file .order (that belongs to engage) that lies in ~/.e/somewhere

that should get you started I believe

Re: Enlightenment Engage

Yeah, a more stable solution is probably Kooldock or some of the KDE apps if you have/want those libs installed.

WOW yeah this is exactly what I'm lookig for!

Now my question is, how do you make it work in FVWM? :-) (It seems to work fine in Gnome - maybe there's some 'screen-grabbing' api i need to run on my fvwm?...)

Thanks for the recommendation though!  It's great!

Actually I think it does, although I'm not 100%.  It doesn't look as good, and it looks kinda cheesy

EDIT:  Whoops, I read gdesklets.  I've never tried adesklets.  Sorry about that.

Re: Enlightenment Engage

Rensel's TUR is out of date. Use Dreameen's or Nickm's repo.

Rensel did have an unofficial repo, but Tripod deleted it.
