Thinkpad Edge 13 - Kernel 3.0-ARCH - MIC not work. [Solved]

Hi.

I have a Thinkpad Edge 13'' (Intel). i686 Genuine Intel(R) CPU U7300 @ 1.30GHz Genuine Intel .

lspci:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03)

My Kernel is 3.0
Is a fresh install with Gnome3.

The problem is that the integrated MIC doesn't work.

I read that adding some OPTION in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf ... But it doesn't work because this is for Kernel 2.6.X

Can anybody help me?
Thanks!

Sorry about my english, from Argentina. Martin

Did you try the options for modprobe.conf? There is no real difference (apart from the usual differences as they where between two 2.6.x versions) between the 2.6.x and 3.x kernel. Its just a change in the numbering.

Hi seiichiro0185...

I try to add lines in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf and WORK.

options snd-hda-intel model=olpc-xo-1_5 -> WORKS 100%

i tried with:

model=laptop but the headphone jack don't work

---------------------------------------------------------------------
#
# /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf (for v2.6 kernels)
#
options snd-hda-intel model=olpc-xo-1_5
--------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't try this before, because when i open modprobe.conf where blank, and think that this where rest of 2.6.X and have nothing to do with 3.X

Thanks. Martin
