[SOLVED]Target not found:wine(on 64bit system with multilib enabled)

Hello, i'm trying to install wine on a new 64 bit Arch syste, multi-lib is enabled, but pacman still can't find the package...

only day before yesterday it could, on another identical install, the only difference is that here i did that 'ranking mirrors' thing like described in newbie install guide, can this be a problem? thanks.

It could be. Use the same mirror that you used when it worked.

Also, dont forget to update tha package list: pacman -Sy or it could be even better to force an update with pacman -Syy

Re: [SOLVED]Target not found:wine(on 64bit system with multilib enabled)

i've generated new mirrorlist, unchecked the same mirrors as before, but still no luck.  the same with skype and flashplugin packages, looks like multilib is not really enabled despite being unchecked in /etc/pacman.conf...any ideas? thanks!

Did you try pacman -Syy after enabling multilib?
Try the other mirror, it is possible there is something with those you are using now.

Re: [SOLVED]Target not found:wine(on 64bit system with multilib enabled)

2 possibilities:

1) You uncommented the Include directive but not the [multilib] section header
2) You picked a crap mirror initially and aren't forcing an update (-Syy) of your sync DBs after changing mirrors.

Re: [SOLVED]Target not found:wine(on 64bit system with multilib enabled)

thanks a lot! yes, i've uncommented 'include' line but not the [multilib] one, thought that it is unnecessary...

i better include something more then one line of code next time, sorry.

For those of you playing along at home:

/etc/pacman.conf wrote:

#
# The header [repo-name] is crucial - it must be present and
# uncommented to enable the repo.
