Old Pentium 3 - Can it do CCTV?

I want to install some cameras on a remote location of my work, that communicates with the main lan via long range wifi. I thought perhaps using a cheap pci cctv card and some cameras from ebay might be cheaper than using ip cams since i ll need 2 or more.

I got a spare old P3 machine. I dont remember how fast it is, it may be from anything from 0.6 to 1ghz. Its a pentium 3, certainly not celeron. It probably has 256 (or more) ram, since it ran XP till now.

My question is, can this old computer handle this? I dont want to record for now, just to be able to access the cameras remotely. Off course i have no intentions of running a gui or anything else with this machine. Also I dont care about framerate, even 2fps would be fine. I could also settle with watching one cam at the time. The ability to run a command (probably email me) when motion was detected would be nice.

Also if you think its possible, can you name some of the programs/solutions I could use?

I use a pentium3 as a headless torrent box, multimedia server and for recording tv(among other things) so your pent3 should record cctv fine. It might have trouble displaying it if you use a low end graphics card tho.

I wont be displaying locally. I researched a little about cctv applications and they say even a pentium 200mhz is enough for 1-2 cameras, so i guess its enough.
