mplayer crash.. sometimes

Hello
I have an issue with mplayer. I have been using it during years and I love it.

It sometimes crash but not always (I didn't find any pattern explaining why)
When it crash it displays an error about signal 11 and the module init_video_codec (don't know the exact translation in english).

I tried using an other vo such as gl but the problem remains.

Does anyone know why?

Any errors appear in the logs at the time of the crash?
