vim and urxvt font rendering

I'm looking for a solution to make the font rendering in vim to look as close as possible to how Consolas looks in Visual Studio 2010. In other words, I would like to find the optimal font settings for urxvt and vim (font names, hinting values, antialiasing values, etc).

Re: vim and urxvt font rendering

There are many, many threads on font rendering in these forums of which some date back to long before I got here. Did any of them or wiki help?

Re: vim and urxvt font rendering

I use Droid Sans Mono at 8pt with full hinting and no and no subpixel rendering and it looks fantastic, you could try either the font i suggested you or use Inconsolata, a free font largely based on Consolas smile
