Webcam LED is Inverted?

I was wondering if anyone would help me.
I have a creative usb webcam (UVC), which works perfectly. The only issue is that the LED turns on when the kernel is loaded, and turns off when the camera is in use. Essentially, the LED functions backwards then intended, and I know this because a friend of mine with windows has the same one.
Furthermore, when I shut down the computer, my webcam led remains on... I have to unplug/plug it back in to turn it off.

Can anyone offer any help?
