I have a new Acer Aspire 4820T and when i run $ lspci -vnn | grep 14e4 it returns my broadcom driver as BCM43225. Looking at the Broadcom-Wireless wiki it appears i can use either brcmsmac ( which is included in the kernel ) or broadcom-wl.
Any suggestions as to which would be better ?
Cheers

Welcome to the Arch Linux forums Cheesecake Charlie.
According to the output of 'lspci' you should be able to use the brcmsmac driver. I assume you already visited This one , and did you read the note:
Note: The bcma module can prevent some cards from showing up and may need to be blacklisted.

Right, i followed the Broadcom wiki and installed the Broadcom-wl from aur and blacklisted what i was supposed to. The boot error messages went away, but now i dont have any wlan0 or wireless connection and nothing is showing up in wicd.
if i go back to using the module in the kernel, i get wireless connection but errors about wl_ops_config & brcmsmac: wl_ops_bss_info_changed etc
Any suggestions please ?
Cheers
