Hi,
I've just finished a simple Arch install. I've noticed what could be a small bug either upstream (xorg) or on Arch's side.
I have installed xorg-server and xorg-xinit as I have no desktop environment. I use xmonad.
When I run startx I get an error message, although the xorg server starts fine:
/usr/bin/startx: line 127: hostname: command not found
The startx script assumes that you have a hostname utility. However, AFAIK coreutils does not include that any longer. Besides, net-tools is not a dependency of xorg-xinit.
Any ideas on how should this be fixed? Adding a dependency to xorg-xinit perhaps?
Please take this with a grain of salt as I'm new to Arch Linux, and pretty new to Linux as well.
Thanks in advance.

Install net-tools.
There's already a discussion on how to best deal with this https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/24811

Thanks, I hadn't seen that bug report, and I searched quite a lot before posting!

Is inetutils moving to core after testing?

Probably.
You can use testing now to check if the new way works for you.

Nah, Arch is cutting edge enough for me without hitting up testing.
