Hello. I'm fairly new to Linux and was curious to try out Arch. I installed Arch as a Virtual Box guest and added e17 as my WM, all went well. Within the e17 GUI, I went into settings and enabled (if I remember correctly) openGL. e17 didn't like that very much, and now whenever I try to run startx, I get a message as the GUI is trying to start that says it "SEGV'd". I couldn't find a configuration file outside the GUI to undo the openGL setting and restore things back to their defaults (although I did try to follow this guide => http://trac.enlightenment.org/e/wiki/Extras , but after decrypting the file (at least that's what I think I did) none of the file's contents looked like an enable/disable openGL switch). I would appreciate any help in getting e17 back up and running. Thank you.

Backup ~/.e and remove it (e.g. mv ~/.e ~/.e.back).

Awesome, that worked, thank you. So - did enlightenment just see that it's configuration file was gone and then create a new default one to use? Also, it did crash with the same SEGV'd error the first time I tried it after moving the file. However, I immediately tried startx again and it worked. Any idea why that is?

I have absolutely no idea, I'm not using e17, I just found https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/E1 … leshooting in our wiki.
