Hej,
I just upgraded to digikam 2.0 and I experience a lot of crashes. As soon as I open an image that contains a detected face digikam crashes. When I open up an image without faces it crashes as soon as the mouse hovers over the face-related buttons in the top left corner of the preview view.
I hat the Beta3 or something like that compiled and installed a while ago and created some face-tags with that as well, maybe this issue comes from that?
I already resetted everything I could imagine (~/.kde4/share/config/digikamrc, ~/.kde4/share/apps/digikam/*, the collection-database, I even tried it with a fresh collection (With images freshly imported from my camera)), but that didn't seem to help.
Can anybody help me out with this? Is anybody experiencing similar problems?
Cheers
locke

Can you paste some useful output from the terminal?

The sad thing is that there is no really useful output on the terminal. This is the only output I get when I open an image in the preview view:
digikam(20884)/digikam (core) Digikam::FaceIface::databaseFaces: rect found as QRect(722,975 493x493) for attribute "tagRegion" tag 25
KCrash: Application 'digikam' crashing...
KCrash: Attempting to start /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/drkonqi from kdeinit
sock_file=/home/felix/.kde4/socket-tuxtop/kdeinit4__0
QSocketNotifier: Invalid socket 17 and type 'Read', disabling...
Of course, I have all output enabled via kdebugdialog.

Can you try installing every optional dependence? Also, install kipi-plugins' optdepends.

OK, I didn't have hugin and libmediawiki installed. However, installing them didn't help

any other ideas on that? Otherwise I guess I should open a bug report on bugs.kde.org

Same pbm here
please keep us posted ...

Maybe it's better to report the bug to upstream(KDE) instead of posting it here?

Is this solved with digikam 2.1.1-1? If not, please report upstream.
