I noticed AUR packages page has a feature letting you to add comments. I find this particularly useful because it enables focused commenting by the users of such packages. You can easily keep track of bugs, possible breakage, any kind of problems with the package, and basically it would be very nice to have this kind of feature for the same reasons we already have it in the AUR site.
Peace.

Problems with the packages should be reported in the bugtracker, you have a convenient link on the package page in top righthand side box labeled 'Package Actions': 'Add New Bug'.

Bugs should be reported to the bugs tracker. I agree. But not all problems are bugs. Conflicting packages, workarounds, misc comments on the packages, etc, could be posted there.

Agreed with Karol. The bug tracker and the wiki are enough. I already have enough to keep track of.

For discussion and "something went wrong but don't know what exactly" issues there's forum, IRC and ML. Using informative subjects helps finding relevant forum / ML threads.
Wiki articles have their discussion pages too, so if you're unsure about something, post there.
Finally, I find AUR comments lacking:
1. You can't sticky a comment.
2. Hell, you can't even link to a specific comment.
3. You can't have threaded comments so if you are dealing with more than one issue at the same time it's a mess.
4. Lack of bbcode-like (or similar) formating (although the bug tracker doesn't support formating either).

Don't forget the unreliable survival of the comments (old ones still aren't back :S).

This won't be happening, from the guy who maintains the website code. There are better places for some of the things comments are used for as noted by others, and as for the rest of it- you're just going to piss the developers off with a "why isn't this updated yet" message.

I think this option should exist atleast for package which have been moved from AUR to community. All the AUR comments of the moved package are simply discarded.

I'm unsure why you'd want to keep those though. Any specific examples of a case where it would make sense (and where the comment wouldn't have been better suited to the bug tracker/ML/personal email?)
