[SOLVED] XFCE & Operation Not Supported

Hi all,

I've searched a few times and haven't found a specific answer to my small problem.

I just completed a fresh network install of Arch x64 and XFCE. The odd problem I am having is that I am 1. Unable to right-click any images in Firefox to save and 2. If I try to drag picture to the desktop, it says 'Operation not supported' after popping up a windows that says 'Gathering files.'

Did I miss something in configuration? Thank you!

Cheers,
Czar.

Re: [SOLVED] XFCE & Operation Not Supported

Is it just images or is it any file?  Can you download through other means?

This page will have some ideas for you, since I suspect it isn't XFCE, but rather Firefox that is having the issue:

Re: [SOLVED] XFCE & Operation Not Supported

Hi there,

Thanks for the quick reply. I am able to save a picture and other files through regular links and whatnot. The Firefox download manager is working fine. The error that manifests is a pop-up from Thunar; the only trouble I have is when I attempt to simply click and drag the picture from a web page to the desktop (or folder within my home directory).

Thanks again!
Czar.

Re: [SOLVED] XFCE & Operation Not Supported

I'm not sure exactly what did it, but I did some updates to remedy an issue I was having regarding USB drives not auto-mounting. After rebooting, I was able to drag a picture to my desktop with no issues.

Cheers,
Czar.
