I've installed the texlive-core, texlive-bin, and texlive-bibtexextra packages. When I try to run a .tex file containing bibliographic commands through latex, I get the error: "LaTeX Error: File `etoolbox.sty' not found." A bit of googling told me to run "tlmgr etoolbox", but I can't find tlmgr anywhere in any of the texlive packages. Can someone help me out here? Where do I find these files?

Does this help:
$ pacman -Qo /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/etoolbox/etoolbox.sty
/usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/etoolbox/etoolbox.sty is owned by texlive-latexextra 2011.22931-1
To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

My texlive-* installations are older than 2011-09-15, but I'll try updating everything and installing the texlive-latexextra package mentioned below by bernarcher, and I'll see what happens.

I think bernarcher got it right; next time you can use pkgfile https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/FA … is_X_in.3F to find which packages (if any) provides the file you need.

That solved it. (i.e., pacman -Syu && pacman -S textlive-latexextra). Thanks, karol and bernarcher.

Just in case someone passing by with the same problem wonders, there is a typo in the last post. The command to run is
pacman -S texlive-latexextra
(and not textlive)
