Macbook air 2011 graphical corruption on console

I managed to get arch installed and booting with grub-efi, however I'm seeing some wierd corruption in console. The resolution seems about right, however the system display area ends a few lines short of the bottom. Where those lines should be, I'm seeing a duplication of the top most 3 lines. On the right side, about 6 characters wide or so, I'm seeing junk which I can only assuming is the other X amount of characters for that line squashed into a very narrow column.

The system's using intel's KMS and I've got both i915 and intel_agp in my mkinitcpio.conf MODULES session.

Somewhat out of ideas on how to troubleshoot / resolve this though.

Gah, this can be fixed with a kernel patch https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39533#c25.
Next step, getting 3d acceleration.
