Install to USB Drive on MacBook

Hi

I would like to be able to install Arch to a USB drive (either a USB hard drive or a USB flash drive) on a MacBook but with out touching the MacBooks hard drive. I have not found any information about this. Is this possible? It end goal is to have a USB drive that will contain everything to boot Arch and the MacBook hard drive will be untouched, so to boot into Arch I would attach the USB drive to the computer and then boot up holding down the alt key (or which ever one it is to select the boot drive) and then select the USB drive and boot into Arch.

Thanks
Robert

There's https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … _a_USB_key but it's marked out of date (possibly because we use linux 3 kernel now).

Thanks for the link. I'll give it a go. Looks like all I got to loose is time if it does not work!

Thanks
Robert
