MLDM - Manjaro Linux Display Manager

Hi all
We are currently working on mldm a new login manager, which will be the new default login manager in Manjaro Linux. It supports to switch users in all kind of WMs/DEs. Language/Keyboard/Session support and the theme management is also in work. Here is a short video about the current state:

It will change a lot in the next few days/weeks, but do you have any more suggestions?

Whats that  problem?
Mldm is not based on any other Login Manager. It is a complete new thing. Another nice feature of it is, that at logout X doesn't restart. So you save 3-5 seconds.

Can it use .xinitrc to launch the session, like SLiM?

Yeah of course! One main goal is the high customization of it.

If you need to restart X how do you go about that with MLDM ?

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.

Re: MLDM - Manjaro Linux Display Manager

Just press quit. But the problem which the other login managers have, is, that if they don't restart X when you logout of a session and then login again, processes are running twice,... So they kill X and start it again. But that looses time. We solved that problem. wink
