[SOLVED] Older version of Netcfg package

Hi, currently I have netcfg V2.6.8 installed on my system. However I cannot seem to connect to my University network. I am not sure since which version of netcfg it has stopped working since I did not connect to the university for the past 3 months (summer vacation). However, It used to work perfectly before (Jun 2011). So I intend to downgrade my netcfg to like V2.6.3 probably. And I don't have that version in my pacman cache.

Can anyone please post a download link if they have that version of netcfg still on their system?

Also, how do you download an older version of a package if it is not present on your cache?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Do … ckages#ARM

You need to remember that older version might have different dependencies you need to find and download.
The PKGBUILDs etc. along with the history of changes are available http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/ … ges/netcfg
If you need a specific version that is not available from ARM or other sources, you can compile it yourself.

Thank you very much karol! This has taught me to keep my cache intact instead of deleting them to save space.

Re: [SOLVED] Older version of Netcfg package

You can determine exactly which netcfg version was installed in June from your pacman log.
