Solid State Drives Article: alignment stuff

I'm wondering if the section describing proper alignment might be a little out of date:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/So … _Alignment

All tools I recently used on my new SSD (fdisk, lvm, dm-crypt, mkfs.ext4) seemed to default to some proper alignment.
For example, fdisk proposed sector 2048 as fist sector for the first partition, which would result in a 1MiB alignment (please correct me if I'm wrong here).

Can anyone confirm my observations? I think we should shorten the section or at least add some hint saying that using fdisk is now safe.

Greetings,

lynix
