Re: GNOME 3.2 beta2 available in gnome-unstable

I updated, and everything works...well except I can't browse my buddies from activities search option, like I did just two days ago...I can't understand...

to became available, just use the user menu from the top right and change to avialble?
the account state suppose to be saved and at login should be restored. If it doesn't do that then you should report it.

Re: GNOME 3.2 beta2 available in gnome-unstable

I noticed something - another upstream bug ? - is that when I log off my session, when I try to log in back, sometimes it won't work. It happens when you strike return instead of clicking on "log in" button.

In .xsession-errors, there is a line saying that gnome-desktop (or something like this) respawn too quickly sad

Besides this, all is working smile

Re: GNOME 3.2 beta2 available in gnome-unstable

Another bug... Gnome-shell-extensions, and specially alternative-status-menu, are not enabled even if I activate them in gnome-tweak-tool. Any idea ?

sudo pacman -S grilo will help you for this totem bug.

Re: GNOME 3.2 beta2 available in gnome-unstable

totem works fine.

just add a new user and if it works, then is something in your profile

Re: GNOME 3.2 beta2 available in gnome-unstable

removing ~/.config/totem solves the issue.

Now, the only problem is with the nvidia 173xx bugged driver which makes totem unusably slow.

By the way, I cleaned up my profile (help sometimes), but I cannot get shell extensions to be enabled...

I miss a lot alternative status menu. Any idea ?!

Hi:

How many account types are supposed to be listed when you try to add a new online account? I only see google accounts. Am I missing some package(s)?

The new shell is probably going to break 1/3 of the extensions that are available.  To replace the alternate-status extension you can use fpmurphy's poweroff extension, at least it worked with G-S 3.1.3.

Is there a way to force gdm to fallback mode?
I mean: I don't want the new gnome-shell-looking gdm, not to force gnome to fallback mode.

No, there isn't a way to do that.

Same here... text previews bleed. Tried with Faience, Faenza, and Elementary icon themes: same result. If I switch to Gnome (default) icon theme, the text previews don't show up.
