hub_port_status error at shutdown

Hello all,

Which log files store all messages which are displayed after the X session is terminated and the system is going to shutdown?

I'm looking for a particular piece which I didn't find in everything.log, kernel.log and messages.log so far.

Since I did not find a way to stop the shutdown process to read the error message (scroll lock does not work) I was able to quickly read the error message.

It say something like hub_port_status error ...

It happens accidentally and not at every shutdown. As I did not really find any useful information I'm asking you whether you know what this messages means.
