Answer might be something stupid but... since yesterday, the "navigator tag" where i have firefox+vimperator don't show the dwm's bar. It's like the fullscreen mode is on but no... tilling, monocle or floating modes doesn't change the problem and when i open urxvt and move firefox, bar and terminal are in the backend... i think firefox is at floating mode.. but i don't change the config.h...
so.. what's happening?

Can't you just change the mode? Mod + m for monocle.

Maybe firefox is in it's native fullscreen mode? Try pressing F11 in firefox and see if that does anything.

kismet010 probably pressed Mod + f and set floating mode.

thanks for the quickly reply
F11 only hide the vimperator cmd bar
modkey+m/f/t only modify other clients (i see when i move firefox with the mouse)

Modes work for all apps. If you can't set firefox to monocle something is wrong.

ok..

ok..
Oh, don't cry, just tell us what happens if you set firefox to monocle - can you see the dwm bar? Can you hide it with Mod + b?
Offline
nothing happens. i can pick the client with the mouse and move out to see the bar and others clients back to firefox, and those clients responds to the f/t/m mode

What have you updated yesterday? Are you using firefox 3.x or 4? Regular dwm, dwm-sprinkles or some other? Does reinstalling dwm help?

updated: catalyst / installed: xvba, mplayer-vaapi
firefox namoroka 3.6.8
dwm patched with pertag
all works perfectly this morning, but between a change from the "messenger tag" to the "navigator tag", that happens.
i don't want to reinstall/configure all again for this..

Sorry, what's "messenger tag" and the "navigator tag"?
As far as I know, pertag means you can have some of your tags tiled, some other monocle / floating / whatever, so firefox should obey the modes just like any other app.

it's a vimperator problem, cos i renamed the .mozilla directory and firefox runs normally
thanks for your interest karol

That's a bit weird because I'm using dwm and vimperator and I'm fine :-)

i'm reading about some problems like mine with popups in vimperator. good luck for me..

I actually have the same problem since yesterday in Vimperator (using dwm as well).
No idea what is causing this, but I'm probably going to use a more lightweight vi-like browser soon anyway.

Have you tired Mod1-Button3 ?
