Hey guys, so i have linux, and the eject button on my macbook pro wont work. I found out that if i type 'eject' in the console, the disc ejects. so, how would i bind my eject key to the 'eject' command?

Did it use to work? There's a bug related to a "dead" eject hardware button https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/25609

From the bug report:
As a temporary workaround, I suggest adding
echo 2000 > /sys/module/block/parameters/events_dfl_poll_msecs
to your rc.local.
Does it work for you?

You didn't answer my question.
This command works for me: when I press the 'eject' button, the disc is ejected - isn't this what you want?
I have no idea if it works for Apple hardware too, but I don't know how to do what you want, so I offer a workaround. Trying it out will take you a minute - just edit one file and reboot.
