VMWare Player .bundle won't start

I followed the instructions here (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VM … n.2FPlayer) for installing VMWare Player. Grabbed the x64 .bundle, chmodded as explained, then attempted to run it using both --console and without console. Nothing happened. No error, no output to terminal, nothing.

So I jumped down to the relevant section, https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VM … _not_start, which recommends removing /etc/vmware-installer....but that folder does not exist.

Any ideas?

Renaming it to just VMware.bundle worked.
