ObMenuCleaner - simple script to remove obsolete menu items

Another itch->scratch script.  I've posted it on my site in case anyone else will find it useful: http://xyne.archlinux.ca/scripts/openbox/#menus

All it does (so far?) is remove obsolete items from menus, "obsolete" meaning that they contain commands that can no longer be executed. I wrote it to get rid of old entries for applications that I've removed. There's probably already something that does this but meh, it was simple and only took a few minutes to write.

Read the help message at the top of the script for more info.  If you find any bugs, check the latest version before reporting them.

Incidentally, I've added desktop menu caching to ObFileBrowser so the menu is much faster now.

what i would like to see is the opposite, but in a way the user can define more easily what to add to the menu.

I think of something like this:

User creates a textfile with appnames, one per line.
script then checks those appnames against .desktop files and if not found against PATH and finally creates menu including icons. done.

@Rasi
I have no real free time right now, but I've added the idea to my todo list. It shouldn't be difficult to implement, but it will probably be easier once I've found the time to clean up the Mimeo and ObFilebrowser code, which will involve splitting them into modules for easier re-use.

I probably won't get around to that for a while though. hmm
