Gnome-shell-extension 3.2

I've seen that some extensione likethe dock's one or the atlternative status menu doesn't work under gnome 3.2, and also, why gnome-power-manager is going every release more poor of option, it would be usefull if it integrated the profile energy like kde's power tool does

Re: Gnome-shell-extension 3.2

if the extensions don't work you should report to the author.

gnome-power-manager functionality was moved to gnome-settings-daemon

you can try the "power: Don't restore the brightness if it's never been set" change and see if your brightness problem is fixed.

I don't have the brightness issue on Gnome3 but I did on Ubuntu Unity. I fixed it with xbacklight which is already installed in Gnome3, at least on my system it is. On Ubuntu I set it up to start with the system with syntax like "xbacklight -set 100.0". The "100.0" being a percentage of your choosing. "xbacklight -help" gives you all the options.

There is a front end for it called "gbacklight 0.1-1" available in the AUR at http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?O … _Search=Go.

Re: Gnome-shell-extension 3.2

About alternative status menu : reported here => https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=660520

Leads to some patches, one in this bug (for gnome shell), and two for extensions, here : https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=659607

I tried to get alternative status patch applied, but without luck sad
