hell yeah brotha! Damn skippy do! I've been looking for a cad program like this.
the only thing I would change in your PKGBUILD is
cp qcad $startdir/pkg/usr/bin
to
install -D -m755 qcad $startdir/pkg/usr/bin/qcad
then you can set permissions and create the directory (instead of including it in mkdir -p above) all in one shot.
