Microphonebug on Toshiba NB200

Hey guys,

I have a microphonebug on my Toshiba NB200: The internal Microphone doesn't work (but that doesn't really matter), but also a plugged in external Microphone doesn't work properly.
But sound-output works perfectly!
Gnome-sound-recorder and audacity don't even realize an input! Skype get's something that sounds a bit like a robot, but it is impossible to understand what I'm saying.

Does anyone have an idea?

And don't you get "underrun" error when use aplay?

No, I don't get an "underrun"-error

Capture is on. I also get audiofeedback over the speakers.

Ok, and Boost value must be == 0 or 33. It works for my nb200.

you mean the mic boost? I already tried that.

I fixed it with putting "Digital" to about 50%

boost values are a mystery to me as well. I was trying to get an external mic to work on my desktop and if I increased the boost value beyond 50 (i think) my speakers would start screeching. Painful to hear !!!

yeah, so I just kept playing around with different settings until I was happy with the setup.
