wine 1.2 released have a few questions

First off this seemed like the right place to post if not sorry.
I was wondering if this would be a replacement for bin32-wine considering according to the Slashdot article http://tech.slashdot.org/story/10/07/16 … lashdot%29 it supports 32-bit and 64-bit applications..
I was also wondering about how long it takes something like this to hit the arch repo's...
I am also trying to compile it myself and it keeps throwing this error when i run ./configure
configure: error: Cannot build a 32-bit program, you need to install 32-bit development libraries.
If anyone has it installed already or just knows what dev/lib files i need it would be much appreciated.

never. we don't have a multilib toolchain. this discussion was brought multiple times on forum too.

currently for x86_64 do pacman -S bin32-wine and i've heard that maybe we will have wine-wow64. that one can run i686 and x86_64 apps

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

This might be what you are looking for. It probably isn't worth it, since most of the 64-bit programs that already work are trivial (AFAIK)
