Do not have any fonts on VLC media player

Hi
I'm running an Openbox environnement, and most of my apps are GTK ones.
The only application who uses Qt is VLC media player, and under my desktop it looked ugly so I added the following line in my autostart.sh:
"export GTK2_RC_FILES="$HOME/.gtkrc-2.0""

VLC now looks very nice, it uses a pretty interface but actually, all fonts seems to have disapeared hmm I remember they were present before I added this line.
Also, the top bar who contained the entries "File, View, Settings" disapeared too neutral

Here is a screen of my problem:

Thank you for your support wink

Re: Do not have any fonts on VLC media player

you don't have to use that hack. just run qtconfig and it would use your gtk theme

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Before putting this line in my autostart.sh, I tried the qtconfig way, I set "gtk+ style" as gui style, but after when I tried to launch vlc I got the following error: "QGtkStyle was unable to detect the current GTK2 theme"

I solved that by putting this line, but it caused the font problem hmm

PS: Sorry for the tardive reply, my connexion were down since about 5 days hmm

Not a solution by any means, but since you use GTK exclusively, you might wanna look into mplayer.'

I used to use vlc (well cvlc actually -- never used the UI), as it turns out, mplayer actually takes a bit less memory to run on my machine and I like the cli interface. You can also get the GUI versions in gmplayer and smplayer if you wish. That way you won't have to introduce hacks to make vlc look cleaner in a GTK environment.

I would like to use VLC hmm
I tried gmplayer in the past, but I prefer vlc
