ssh2: ssh_buffer_append_space: buffer grows too large!

I can't connect to any server using ssh2 anymore. I get the following message after logging in and pressing a key:

FATAL: ssh_buffer_append_space: buffer grows too large!

After connecting to the servers using ssh2? (like: ssh2 -l <UNAME> <SERVER>) After entering the password, I get the command prompt, but hitting the very first keystroke after that when trying to enter a command causes the connection to drop and give the above error message. I can't find any info that is helpful on the interwebs.

I can connect using ssh from this machine. I can connected using ssh2 from another machine right beside me. I have removed and reinstalled/rebuilt ssh2 -- all to no avail.

Last year I had this same problem (different machine), but there was no "fix" ever found:

Re: ssh2: ssh_buffer_append_space: buffer grows too large!

Where are you getting the ssh2 command (it is not in any of the packages in the arch repository)? If you configure the server to use ssh2 (the 'Protocol 2' option in the config file), the ssh command will use the SSHv2 protocol.

I got it from AUR. Also, I set the server to use Protocol 2, so this is probably a dead issue then. Thanks!
