Enhanced Truecrypt ...

Just simple questions to this forum:
Is it possible to enhance the regular Truecrypt algorithms with the one mentioned in the article?
Is there a built-in backdoor in Truecrypt for the FBI and other authorities?

But subsequent efforts to decrypt files held on the hardware using a variety of dictionary-based attacks failed even after the South Americans called in the assistance of the FBI.
The files were encrypted using Truecrypt and an unnamed algorithm, reportedly based on the 256-bit AES standard.

As far as I know there are no backdoors. Some 'authorities' may therefore use http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber-hose_cryptanalysis
