I use Archlinux x86_64 I have hal, dbus and udisks installed.
Pcmanfm version is 0.9.7-1 and libfm 0.1.12-1.
I start lxde with this command:
exec dbus-launch ck-launch-session startlxde
If I insert a removable device, like a usb pen, I don't see it on Pcmanfm.
Where am I wrong?

Check your udev rules.

pcmanfm 0.9.7 does not show the removable devices in the left hand navigation bar. the author had some issues getting the udev rules and udisks working with it. However, the newer version of pcmanfm promises to solve the problem. I think your devices will be mounted using the udev rules that JackH79 mentioned and you can even navigate to the mount points using pcmanfm.
it just doesn't show up as a drive in the nav bar.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Ok I have these rules on /etc/udev/rules.d/
[garret@laptop ~]$ ls /etc/udev/rules.d/
11-discs-auto-mount.rules 75-cd-aliases-generator.rules.optional
11-media-by-label-with-pmount.rules 75-persistent-net-generator.rules.optional
11-sd-cards-auto-mount.rules 90-r5u87x-loader.rules
Three of these are taken from the wiki (the ones that start with "11"). To mount usb pens I use pmount.
Now I see my usb pen but how I un-mount that via gui?
