For some reason my server fails to connect to the Pacman mirror:
Server = ftp://ftp.gtlib.gatech.edu/pub/linux/di … /os/x86_64
So I wanted to change the mirror to the next best performing one however when I tried to run 'rankmirrors', it fails:
[root@ghost ~]# mv /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.org
[root@ghost ~]# rankmirrors -n 5 /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist.org > /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
/usr/bin/rankmirrors: line 59: curl: command not found
/usr/bin/rankmirrors: line 61: >= 400 || ! : syntax error: operand expected (error token is ">= 400 || ! ")Anyone know how I can fix this?

Install curl?
EDIT: oops sorry, that is not the problem.

I've done this fine before w/o 'curl' and it doesn't appear to be the issue.

rankmirrors does not work anymore. it just gives the mirrors back in alphabetical order. Try selecting a geographically nearby mirror manually.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

That sucks. I see now that it's noted in the Wiki.
