My friend had the rtl1892se driver install from the aur. He did a system upgrade and he has lost the wifi support due to kernel upgrade. He doesn't have access to a wired connection to fix it by just reinstalling the package..... Is their another way to fix this without the internet? Can he do a rollback to the previous kernel...etc...etc......?

Previous kernel is probably in his pacman cache.
Tell him to keep the source tarball next time he builds the driver.
