[SOLVED] Starting nm-applet automatically

I have just installed  nm-applet on my eeepc901 (kdemod3).

Everything seems to be working fine, except that nm-applet does not start automatically. I can only start it from the console, then, if I shut the console down nm-applet closes down also!

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to start nm-applet automatically (system-wide) on boot-up.

Many thanks in advance

Re: [SOLVED] Starting nm-applet automatically

OK - I know - it's simple!

Create the following file in each user's Autostart directory

 #!/bin/sh
nm-applet --sm-disable &

MAKE IT EXECUTABLE! I spent ages wondering why it wouldn't work.

Problem solved, and I feel a fool. In mitigation, I am totally new to Arch (and loving it!)
