SWAT doesn't load

I've  been using swat for sometime. Usually enable the swat service in xinetd (listed in rc.conf, as samba), give it permission in hosts.allow to 127.0.0.1, restart the daemons and access it via browser at the address localhost:901 or 127.0.0.1:901. But recently it's stopped to work. I've checked the files and configurations, and everything seems OK.
Is there any recent changes in the way of starting this service in Archlinux? Some version modification, or something like that?

Any help is welcome...

Re: SWAT doesn't load

I just tried to run swat and ran into the same problem. The daemon.log pointed me to /etc/services. The problem seems to be that the service name in /etc/services does not correspond to name of the service ('swat'). I used an alias in /etc/services which works:

smpnameres      901/tcp swat   # SMPNAMERES
smpnameres      901/udp swat   # SMPNAMERES

Re: SWAT doesn't load

Hey, leepesjee, Thanks!

It worked. But I've got to restart xinetd to get it done That's strange, don't you think? I guess you can never took anything for granted in TI. I thought that "swat 901" was some kind of standard, like "ftp 21" or else.

Well, thanks again.
