[SOLVED] How to return screen brightness after automatic darkening

Hey everyone, just have a minor question.  I have both acpid and laptop-mode running and everything works how I want it to except for one thing, when I leave the laptop idle for awhile the screen is darkened automatically, but moving the mouse or pressing a key does not return the screen to the former brightness.  Which config file would I want to tinker with to fix this?

What laptop is it? Check if it's in the wiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Asus_Eee_PC_1001p

Hey karol, thanks for the quick reply.  Well, I have a MacBook4,1.  I think you may be onto something about the Intel KMS settings...

I found this and I think it may be related: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=489907

Awesome, thank you karol.  I just added these to my boot parameters in Grub1: " acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor"

I'm going to test it out and report back.

EDIT: Okay, marking as solved.  Now working as desired.  big_smile
