dhcpcd don't work

i recently brought asus k52f. Arch detects wifi(Atheros AR9258) and ethernet card, even find my network, but i can't connect. I try set network without password, but still i can't connect. dhcpcd all time prints

dhcpcd: timed out

I try also Ubuntu 10.10 and Bactrack 4, but it's still the same. Someone knows what the problem is?

PS. Sorry for my english.

Re: dhcpcd don't work

What command(s) are you using to connect to the network?

Re: dhcpcd don't work

Like in wiki:

# wpa_passphrase linksys "secretpassphrase" > /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
# wpa_supplicant -B -Dwext -i wlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf

and

# dhcpcd wlan0

Re: dhcpcd don't work

Run dhcpcd with the -d option and post the output here.

Maybe the output of iwconfig wlan0 would help too (the output just before running dhcpcd).
