Flash audio problems

Hi guys,

I'm using flashplugin-prerelease from AUR in the 64bit version together with Firefox and have the strange problem that I don't have sound in flash files after some time. Furthermore I use alsa as my sound backend.

Any ideas or similiar experiences?

Regards

Re: Flash audio problems

Err ok I have to extend my problem. It's not just that I have no sound but the flash objects were played also too fast, e.g I tried this with some youtube videos.

At least this happens always after resuming my system from hibernating/suspend while firefox was still open.

Of course I can solve this problem by reopening firefox but that should only be a workaround.

That often has problems apparently - thankfully I don't need/use it myself. I suggest trying a kernel which includes tuxonice.

I would recommend kernel26-pf, because it also includes the BFS.

Re: Flash audio problems

Thank you for this suggestion. So I can only avoid this problem by using a patched kernel?

Is there really no alternative?
