I have arch linux 64bit installed on an Acer Revo 3610. This is an intel atom 330 mini pc with nvidia ion graphics and arch works well on it.
Wicd controls the ethernet connection, the revos also has a wifi an wicd seems suitable for my slip+openbox.
PM-utils works well for both suspend and hibernate, but very occasionally (say 5%) when hibernating, the ethernet fails to stay live and then the power switch needs to be pressed to get the resume to start. In the normal case I can see that the ethernet connection is 'live' ie the far end light on my router stays lit. I have set the BIOS to allow wakeonlan and have set up the mother board to supply some backplane power to support that (and suspend to ram). This liveness is not just residual as it survives power cycling the router.
Is there some way to guarantee that the ethernet will stay live at the end of the hibernate?
